Dear returning UO students and families:
Eugene and the University of Oregon campus have experienced snow, ice, and extreme cold in recent days, and weather forecasts show the possibility of more snow and then freezing rain and ice on Saturday, January 7.
These weather systems are affecting the entire Pacific Northwest, and could make travel to the UO difficult.
Students and families should consult road and weather information and use extreme caution, both traveling to campus and while moving back into residences. UO Campus Planning and Facilities Management crews have been working overtime to make safe designated walking paths around campus, but some areas remain challenging.
Please use caution and plan for extra travel time. Stay safe, Ducks!
