January 8th Weather Update

January 8, 2017 – 12:22 pm

Dear returning UO students and families:

The University of Oregon is expected to be following normal operations on Monday, Jan. 9.  We continue to monitor the evolving weather situation and will post any campus operational changes to the UO Alerts Blog.

The region has experienced snow, ice, and extreme cold in recent days, and weather forecasts show warming temperatures that are expected to normalize conditions across the Eugene campus and the city.

For many, travel to UO remains difficult and students and families should consult road and weather information and use extreme caution, both traveling to campus and while moving back into residences. If you find yourself unable to make it to campus safely, you should use your best judgment and contact your instructors to seek special accommodations relating to your Monday class schedule.

UO Campus Planning and Facilities Management crews have been working overtime to make safe designated walking paths around campus, but some areas may remain challenging early Monday.

Please use caution and plan for extra travel time.

Stay safe, Ducks!
