On Monday, March 18, 2013, there was a small fire in the stairwell of a University of Oregon residence hall. The fire was quickly extinguished. Tingle Hall (part of Hamilton Hall) is currently evacuated while Eugene Fire Department and university officials conduct investigations about the cause of the fire and clean up the fire extinguisher debris.
