December 8th Winter Weather Information

December 7, 2016 – 3:57 pm

This page will share inclement weather messages any time conditions may cause changes to the normal University of Oregon schedule.

Recent weather reports have shown the possibility of freezing rain early Thursday, December 8, that could result in hazardous conditions on campus.

The UO will monitor weather and campus conditions, and will notify students and employees as soon as possible after 6 a.m. Thursday of any weather delays to the UO schedule, via a UO Alert email and text message. Information will also be shared with local media, and posted to this page. The UO in Portland follows Portland State University’s delay and closure decisions.

AS OF DECEMBER 7, NO DECISIONS ABOUT THE DECEMBER 8 SCHEDULE HAVE BEEN MADE. AN ALERT MESSAGE WILL ONLY BE SENT DECEMBER 8 IF THERE IS A DELAY.

It is understood that not everyone will be able to travel to campus during inclement weather. Members of the campus community are expected to use their best judgment to assess the risk of coming to campus and returning home safely, based on individual circumstances. Those who believe that road conditions from their homes are dangerous, are urged to remain home.
