| Due to developing inclement weather, the University of Oregon Eugene campus will close at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Employees who are not designated as “essential” may leave as of 1 p.m. today, after notifying their supervisors.
The UO Eugene campus will remain closed until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5.
People are encouraged to use extreme caution when traveling home today.
It is understood that some employees may need more time, or will be unable, to travel safely to or from campus, depending on individual circumstances. Members of the campus community are expected to use their best judgment to assess personal risk, and work with their immediate supervisors around any adjustments to their work schedules.

Employees who perform essential duties and who have been designated by their supervisor as “essential” are expected to work during inclement weather. Employees unsure of their status should check with their supervisors.
