UO Alert: Eugene Campus Status Update

UO-Header-p62azs.jpg

The University of Oregon will resume normal operations at noon on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. The first classes will begin at 1 p.m.

While local travel remains challenging, main campus walkways are passable. Use caution in and around parking lots. Please refer to campus snow routes when planning your travel on campus: https://map.uoregon.edu/winter-storm-conditions

We are still working on clearing campus parking lots, so employees are encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation when coming to campus. Supervisors should take steps to allow employees to work remotely this afternoon, to the extent operationally feasible. Employees should work with supervisors on any schedule changes.

It is understood that not everyone may be able to travel to campus in inclement weather. Members of the campus community are expected to use their best judgement in assessing the risk of coming to campus, based on individual circumstances.

Students should work with instructors as necessary, and faculty are encouraged to be flexible with students experiencing travel difficulties.

Faculty should communicate to their students if the faculty member is unable to travel to campus.

Inclement weather details for employees is available online at https://hr.uoregon.edu/about-hr/campus-notifications/inclement-weather

Check alerts.uoregon.edu for more information and resource, and please stay safe.
