The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Watch for Lane County beginning late tonight (Wednesday 2/5) through late Thursday night. The current forecasts call for 3″ – 6″ of snow in Eugene. The University will monitor Eugene campus conditions overnight and any changes to normal operations will be communicated through the UO Alert! System, sent to local media outlets and posted to this blog.  The UO in Portland follows Portland State University’s delay and closure decisions.

It is understood that not everyone may be able to travel to campus during inclement weather. Members of the campus community are expected to use their best judgment in assessing the risk of coming to campus and returning home, based on individual circumstances. Students should work with their instructors and staff with their supervisors if they cannot safely get to class and work. Faculty members not able to travel to campus are responsible for making alternate arrangements for their courses.
