Dear UO Portland community,

Following the national news, we believe there is high potential for demonstrations in Portland starting at any time this afternoon or evening. It is unpredictable whether downtown, Old Town, and nearby travel will be impacted. As always, the safety of all members of our community is of utmost importance. We highly recommend that you depart the UO Portland campus before sunset and/or take advantage of our SafeWalk program.

A decision will be made about the safety of opening the Portland campus tomorrow, depending on this evening’s activity. Please check your email before coming to campus tomorrow, Thursday.
